Maharashtra & Goa State Level “Essay writing competition” for School and College Teaching Staff
“Mahachashak” Mahadan Essay Competition.
(Mahadan means Eye donation, Skin donation, Body donation, Organ donation.)
Essay Topic (Please select any one of the following topics):
1. Mahadan is the need of the time.
2. My concepts to instill Mahadan culture in students.
3. Role of teachers for Mahadan movement.
4. Mahadan for society – collective responsibility
Language: Marathi / Hindi / English
This competition is divided into two groups
Group 1
School Teachers Group – Teachers teaching up to Class 10
Group 2
College Professor Group – Professors/Teachers teaching to Class 11th to Degree level.
Instructions for Essay Writing:
1) A teacher can submit only one essay in any one language and on any one topic.
2) Word limit: 800 to 1000 words
3) The essay should be written on A4 size paper, legibly handwritten or typed on one side.
4) The decision of the examiners is final and no legal process can be initiated against it in any way
5) The name of the author or any information indicating his/her identity should not be written on the essay
6) The following information should be sent along with the essay on a separate sheet of paper and stapled
- Full name of the author
- Age
- Mobile number
- Name and full address of the school/college
- Name and contact number of the headmaster/principal
- A photograph of the author. (Passport size photo)
- Affidavit: (To be written and signed under the personal information sheet)
“I solemnly declare that the above essay is written by me.
It is not a copy of any write-up by any person, organization or text on the internet.
This essay has not been published anywhere before and is submitted exclusively for this
competition.
I agree to all the rules and conditions of the competition.”

Note: Essays sent through e-mail, WhatsApp or other digital medium will not be accepted for the competition.
10) Prizes and Awards:
From each group:
First Prize: ₹10,000/- + Certificate + Shield for school/college
Second Prize: ₹5,000/- + Certificate + Shield for school/college
A special prize for one essay in each language: ₹3,000/- + Certificate + Shield (Souvenir) for school/college
11) Results and Awards Ceremony:
Results: Will be announced in the month of August 2025
Awards Ceremony: The prize money and the winners will be honored at the 2025 State Level Convention of the Federation (2025)
The winners will have to travel to the convention at their own expense, but will not have to pay the participation fee for the convention.
12) The essays of the prize winners will be published in a special issue of the Federation and no separate honorarium will be given for this.
